The Colony

About the theater

INDY Week Best of the Triangle 2014 for "Best Place to See an Independent Film" Finalist!

The Colony is a quiet, cozy little theater located on Six Forks Road. It holds two screens that show mostly independent and foreign films. Our lobby features plush couches and paintings by local artist Rob Logic, where you can wait for your friends to meet you, or you can sit to discuss the film you just saw.

Among our other delicious concessions, we serve beer and wine! And cookies!

If you have a special event or meeting, want to show a movie to all your friends, or are planning a performance, consider having it at the Colony. Go to our rent a theater page to find out more.

Ambassador Entertainment is proud to announce the following repertory screenings at the Colony. Look for a retro classic on the first, second and third Wednesdays of the month. Admission is $5.00.
